What are some proproception deficits | dizziness, Meniere's Disease- hearing loss, vertigo, tinnitus, full feeling or pressure in ear |
what are some taste deficits | Xerostomia- decr salivary production leads to thicker mucus adn dry mouth |
what are neurological deficits | peripheral neurophathy, hemiplegia- caused by thrombus, imbalance |
what are some meds taht cause ototoxicity | antibiotics, aspirn(salicylates), NSAIDS, diuretics, antineoplastic agents |
what is sensory deprivation | inadequate stimuli impairs perception. Ex: hearing loss, confusion and restricted env(bed rest) |
what is sensory overload | brain receives multi stimuli and can't distinguish stimuli. EX: acute pt in hopsital |
