What is a cabinet? A group of executive advisors to the president.
What is a precedent? A tradition or a legal decision.
What is a tariff? A tax placed on goods.
What is does sedition mean? incitement of discotent of rebellion against a government.
What is States' Rights? Rights that belong to the states. That come from the constitution.
What is national debt? Money that the government owes.
What is judical review? Where the court can review a law to see if it is consitiotonal before it can take affect.
What is neutrality? Being neutral; not on a specific side.
What were some precendents that Washington set? Neutrallity in forigen affairs, 2 terms, going to a cabinet for advice.
What set up the federal court system with 13 district courts and 3 circuit courts? Judicary Act of 1789
Who was the first cheif justice of the Supreme Court? John Jay
Who was the Secretary of State under Washington? Thomas Jefferson
Who was the Secretary of War under Washington? Henery Knox
Who was the Secretary of Tresuray under Washigton? Alexander Hamilton
What were 3 parts of Hamilton's Financial Plan? Paying off war debt, rasing government revunues, creating a national bank.
