Whiskey Rebellion Rebellion of Pennsylvania farmers to protest taxes on homemade whiskey. The rebellion was put down by force by George Washington. Washington's actions showed that the federal government would use force to maintain order.

What did Washington warn against in his farewell address? Becoming involved in foreign "entanglements". Federal debt. Political parties.
What were the three parts of Hamilton's economic plan? Pay off the national debt and the debt of the states. Creation of a national bank. A system of national taxes and tariffs on imports.
