Interventions for Respiratory Alkalosis | Calm anxious person, breath slowly, monotr ABG's and electrolyte levels |
Interventions for Respiratory Acidosis | Administer O2, provide hydration, HOB up, suction if needed |
Interventions for Metabolic Alkalosis | Initiate parenteral fluids as ordered, assess hepatic function, monitor ABG's, urine, pH, and BUN |
Interventions for Metabolic Acidosis | Initiate IV fluid replacement as ordered, assess for s/s of hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, alkalosis, Monitor ABG's & urine pH |
