The working crew for was mostly Chinese immigrants for which railroad company? Why? Central Pacific Railroad because there were many Chinese immigrants living in California
What was a main problem for the Central Pacific Railroad workers? The Sierra Nevada Mountains
What was a main problem for the Union Pacific Railroad workers? The Native Americans (they did not want the railroad built)
Why were the Native Americans against the building of the railroad? It scared away the buffalo (their main source of food)
What Native American leader told the railroad workers to stop building the railroad? Red Cloud
What was the mail delivery system the used horses known as? The Pony Express
Why did the Pony Express come to an end? The telegrah was invented and it was faster.
What did Samuel Morse do? Invented the Morse Code to send messages using the telegraph.
What US general told the Native Americans they cannot stop the railroad from being built? William Tecumseh Sherman
