The response of an organism to a stimulus that causes an additional response
Stability
the kind of equilibrium of a body so that if changed or disturbed by a stimulus it returns to it's former position or state of being

a plant's response to touch
Tropism
The growth of a plant toward of away from a stimulus such as light or gravity
turgor pressure
Water pressure against a cell wall of a plant cell (firm leaf/wilted leaf)

Homeostasis
The maintenance of stable internal conditions of an organism/state of equilibrium
Stimulus
A change in an organism's surroundings that causes the organism to react
Transpiration
the process by which moisture is carried through plants from roots to stomata (tiny openings) on the underside of leaves, where it changes to vapor and is released to the atmosphere.
