Acculturation
The process of adjustment to the dominant culture. but still maintain major elements of their own culture
Assimilation
The process of giving up ALL or MOST of the cultural traditions and adopting the social customs of the dominant culture of a place.
Cultural convergence
Cultural convergence is the theory that two cultures will be more and more like each other as their interactions increase. Basically, the more that cultures interact, the more that their values, behaviors, arts, and customs will start to reflect each other. This is because of improved transportation and communication
