Contraindications:
- Allergy to salicylates - Known or suspected active bleeding - Known bleeding tendency - Chest pain due to psychostimulant OD
Adverse Effects:
- Allergic reactions - Aggravation of bleeding tendencies - Gastric irritation
Use:
Suspected myocardial ischaemia
Dose:
300mg 150mg if on warfarin
Actions:
Inhibits platelet Fx, reduces platelet aggregation and limits clot development
