🗑
Antibody   Soluble protein, produced by B cells, that interacts with antigen (aka immunoglobin)
🗑
Antigen   Molecule capable of interacting with specific components of the immmune system
🗑
Epitope (Antigen determinant)   Portion of an antigen that is reactive with a specific antibody or T-Cell receptor
🗑
Antigen-presenting cell (APC)   A macrophage, dendritic cell, or B cell that presents processed antigen peptides to a T cell
🗑
Autoantibody   an antibody that reacts to self antigens
🗑
B cell   A lymphocyte that has immunoglobulin surface receptors, produces immunoglobulin, and may present antigens to T cells
🗑
Cell-mediated immunity (CMI)   immunity resulting from direct interaction with antigen specific T cells
🗑
Cytokine   a soluble immune response modulator produced by leukocytes
🗑
Lymphocyte   a subset of nucleated cells found in the blood that are involved in the immune response
🗑
Leukocyte   a nucleated cell found in white blood cells
🗑
MHC   (Major histocompatibility complex) responsible for encoding several cell survace proteins important in antigen presentation

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
