what are Excitatory neurotransmitters?   increases the likelihood that an electrical impulse will advance.

What are Inhibitory neurotransmitters?   decreases the likelihood that an electrical impulse will advance.

What is Acetylcholine and its function?   Excitatory. deals with movement, autonomic, function, learning, and memory. deficiency may lead to Alzheimer's.

What is Dopamine and its function?   Excitatory. deals with motivation, reward, and planning. Deficiency may lead to Parkinson's and decreased feelings of pleasure. Excess of it may lead to schizophrenia.

What is Gaba and its function?   Inhibitory. Slows down or blocks electric impulse. CNS participates in mood. Deficiency may lead to anxiety.

What is Glutamate and its function?   Excitatory. CNS, learning, and memory. Excess may lead to neuron death and autism. Deficiency may lead to tiredness and fatigue.

What is Norepinepherine and its function?   Excitatory. Participates in arousal, vigilance, and mood. excess may lead to anxiety.

what is serotonin and its function?   Inhibitory. Participates in mood, appetite, and sleep. Deficiency may lead to depression and/or anxiety.

What is the function of the limbic system?   to process and regulate emotion and memory while also dealing with sexual stimulation and learning. Behavior, motivation, long-term memory, and our sense of smell also relate to the limbic system and its sphere of influence.

What is the function of the Peripheral Nervous System? (PNS)   Connects the CNS to the organs, limbs & skin. made up of the Afferent and Efferent systems.

What is the function of the sympathetic nervous system? (SNS)   sympathetic to your plights. triggers your fight or flight response. releases adrenaline.

What is the Function of the Para Sympathetic Nervous System? (PSNS)   goes back to normal after the sympathetic has been activated.

What does the Afferent System do?   Carries messages and recognizes sensation sensors to the CNS.

What does the Efferent System do?   Carries the command from the CNS to the muscles & organs.
