| What is the tx of adrenal crisis? | Rapid replacement of fluids, salt, glucocorticoids, and sugar; injecting 100mg of hydrocortisone IV bolus followed by IV infusion of NS w/ dextrose, addtl hydrocortisone given 100mg/8hr |
| What are AE of glucocorticoids? | Adrenal insufficiency, infection, PUD, muscle weakness, cushing appearance |
| What are the uses for glucocorticoids? | suppress inflammation, immune response, replacement therapy for adrenal insufficiency |
