QuestionAnswer
How many times does a heart beat per year? Thirty-five million times a year
About what size is an adult heart? The size of two fist put together.
How much force does it take for your heart to pump? The force it takes for you to squeeze a tennis ball.
where is the heart located? In the middle of the chest with a slight lean to the left.
How many chambers does the heart have? The heart has four chambers.
What does the heart do? It pumps oxygen poor blood through it to make oxygen rich blood.
What does the Aorta do? It pumps oxygen rich blood out of the body.
What does the Pulmonary Artery do? It pumps oxygen poor blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen.
What is Angina Pectoris? Chest pain caused by heart not getting enough oxygen.
Distress? When the heart is receiving less oxygen and makes for a less efficient heart.
