What is psychophysiology? The study of the correlation between physiological problems and psychological problems
what are 3 kinds of stressors? Biological, Psychological, Social
Biological Stressors include: Infections, physical trauma, disease, malnutrition, and fatigue
Psychological Stressors include: Such as threats of physical harm, attacks on self-esteem, and guilt-inducing attacks on one's belief system.
Social Stressors include: Such as crowding, excessive noise, economic pressures, natural disasters, and war.
Migraine headache symptoms are: Nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, odors, and movement.
Tension headaches are: On both sides of head. Tightness or pressure around neck or head.
Cluster headaches include: Excruciating stabbing or burning sensations located in eye or cheek. Eye often teary, nose clogged on side of head w/ pain; pacing and rubbing head.
Psychophysiological Disorders are any physical disorders that demonstrate a temporal relationship between psychological factors and the course of a physical illness, interfere w/ treatment, constitute additional health risk factors
