Haylage | Chopped up hay that is fermented in a silo |
Two types of hay | Legumes, grass |
Examples of legumes | Alfalfa, clover, vetch, soybeans |
Examples of grass | Brome, Timothy, tell fescue, orchard grass |
Two types of concentrates | Energy, protein |
Examples of energy concentrates | Corn, barley, oats, wheat, potato, molasses |
Examples of protein concentrates | Soybean meal, cottonseed meal, brewer's grains |
