Caribbean Sea | This body of water is located to the east of Central America, and it holds many small island nations. |
Panama Canal | Man-made waterway that connects the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans |
The Andes Mountains | Long mountain range located in western South America |
Sierra Madres | The mountain ranges that runs along the western and eastern sides of Mexico and Central America |
Pacific Ocean | The ocean to the west of Latin America |
Bolivia | Land-locked country in South America (not Paraguay) |
Climate | The typical weather conditions for a particular region |
Natural Resource | Useful materials found, not made,by human beings. Examples might be rocks, minerals, forests, and arable land. |
Population Distribution | The arrangement or spread of people living in a region |
Cuba | This country is a large island nation with many ports, but is it small compared to other nations. It has a tropical climate, but is often agricultural products. It is communists, so trade is limitied with this nation. |
Brazil | This country is the largest country in Latin America. Its rain forests provide vast natural resources for trade. People here live near the coast because the interior is covered with rain forests. The climate is tropical. |
Mexico | This country has diverse climate regions. Its main export is oil, but it also exports silver and farm goods. Its main trade partner is the IS because it borders the US. |
Venezuela | This country has coasts on the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, making trade easy. IT is also close to the Panama Canal. Its climate is tropical, but cooler in the mountains. Its main export is oil. |
