What is a crest? The highest point of a transverse wave.
What is the frequency? The number of wave crests or troughs that pass a point in one unit of time.
What is a reflection? How waves bounce off an object.
If a material is translucent, what does it mean? Only some light passes through.
If a material is transparent, what does it mean? Light passes through.
If a material is opaque, what does it mean? No light passes through.
What is diffuse reflection? Bouncing back light waves from an uneven surface.
What is refraction? The bending of a wave.
What is a trough? The lowest point of a transverse wave.
What are the colors of the visible spectrum in the correct order? Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
What is the amplitude? The height of a wave from its trough or crest to its midpoint.
What is the wavelength? The distance between wave crests of troughs in a transverse wave.
What is a compression? The distance between wave crests or troughs in a transverse wave.
Why is an object the color that we see? White lights makes the spectrum and whenever it goes through it makes color.
What is a rarefaction? A light in a straight line.

What is a medium? A solid, liquid or gas.
What types of waves need a medium to travel through it? Compressional waves
What is the correct order of the visible spectrum from the lowest frequency to the highest frequency? Purple (highest) to red (lowest)
Which color absorbs all the colors in white light? Black
Which color reflects all the colors in white light? White
Which electromagnetic waves kill cancer cells? Black
Which electromagnetic waves take pictures of your bones? Gamma rays
Which electromagnetic waves can give you a sunburn? Gamma rays
