Brainstem aura | Vertigo, ataxia, dysarthria, diplopia, tinnitus, hyperacusis, alteration in consciousness |
What is a hemiplegic migraine? | Any migraine with an aura that includes motor weakness. |
Why must you identify hemiplegic migraines and migraines with brainstem aura? | Triptans are contraindicated |
Criteria for chronic migraine | Headaches on 15 or more days per month for more than three months. At least eight of these headache days must be migraines |
Which patients are more likely to transform from episodic to chronic migraine? | Patients who treat their headache more than 10 days per month |
