Opiates | Naloxone (Narcan) Adult: An initial dose of 2-4 mg IV/IN/IM/SC/ET. May repeat in 2-3 min If no response after 10 mg, then condition is probably not due to narcotic. Pedi: 0.1 mg/kg IV/IM/IO/ET/SC. May repeat with 0.1 mg/kg if no improvement is noted. |
Organophosphate poisoning | Atropine Adult: 0.03 mg/kg (2 mg) IV / IM, repeat q 5-10 min until atropinization occurs. Pedi: 0.05 mg/kg (max. 3 mg) IV, repeat q 5-10 min until atropinization occurs. |
