Term | Definition |

Hardhat | a rigid protective helmet, as worn by factory and building workers. |
Earplugs | a piece of wax, rubber, or cotton placed in the ear as protection against noise or water. |
Respirator | an apparatus worn over the mouth and nose or the entire face to prevent the inhalation of dust, smoke, or other noxious substances. |
Vest | an article of personal protective equipment that's designed to have high visibility and reflective. |
Fire Retardant Jacket | A fabric or product that resists ignition and self extinguish after removals of the ignition source. |
Face Shield | a device used to protect wearer's entire face (or part of it) from impact hazard such as flying objects and road debris, chemical splashes (in industry), or potentially infectious fluid (in medical). |
Safety Glasses | toughened glasses or goggles for protecting the eyes when using power tools or industrial or laboratory equipment. |
Coveralls | a one-piece protective garment worn for heavy manual work. |
Cut Resistant Gloves | designed to protect the wearer's hands from cuts while working with sharp tools. They can be divided into metal mesh gloves, cut-and-sewn, and seamless knitted gloves |
Sleeves | the part of a garment that wholly or partly covers a person's arm. |
Dust Mask | a flexible pad held over the nose and mouth by elastic or rubber straps to protect against dusts encountered during construction or cleaning activities. |
Nomex Hood | a fabric wherever resistance from heat and flame is required. |
Steel Toe Shoes | protects the foot from falling objects or compression, usually combined with a mid sole plate to protect against punctures from below. |
Full Body Suit | A bodysuit or shorthand body is a one-piece form-fitting garment |
Chaps | leather pants without a seat pants to protect the legs. |
Harness | a system of belts or restraints to hold a person to prevent falling or injury. |
Hazard | a danger or risk. |
Welding helmet | a type of headgear used when performing certain types of welding to protect the eyes, face and neck from flash burn, ultraviolet light, sparks, infrared light, and heat. |
