Define a Lose-Lose situation. | If you can't win, nobody can. You envy and criticize others, and also yourself. |
Define a Win-Win situation. | A balance of courage and consideration. You don't let people walk all over you, but you're still very kind and considerate towards others. Both parties feel good. |

What does it mean to make a deposit into someone's emotional bank account (EBA)? | You "deposit" acts of kindness and helpfulness to another person that you're trying to form a relationship with. |
What are some common examples of deposits into someone's EBA? | Do small acts of kindness, keep promises, keep confidences (secrets), be loyal to the absent (no gossiping), set clear expectations, apologize, and forgive. |
What's an example of a withdrawal from someone's EBA? | Breaking a promise, gossiping, holding a grudge, telling someone's secrets, etc. |
What are the 2 primary rules for making deposits into an EBA? | 1. A deposit is only a deposit if the other person sees it as such. 2. It can take more than one deposit to make up for a withdrawal. |
