Cell connections 1. desmosomes- interlock adjacent cells, intermediate filaments ex. skin cells, belt type encircles like adhesive 2. Gap junctions- membrane channels of plasma connect,fuse membranes Ex. heart muscle 3. Tight junction- joined by membrane collars.

Skeletal structure 1. axial: skull, hyoid, verterbral column, sternum/ribs 2: appendicular: upper and lower extremities including pelvic girdle
Ribs True ribs: 1-7 pairs: join sternum with costal cartilage False ribs: 5 pairs- indirect sternum attachment 8,9,10 to ribs above, floating dont attach to sternum.
Vertebral column cervial (7) thoracic (12) lumbar (5) + sacrum and coccyx
