What is checked during B? | Breathing: Respiratory rate, SPO2, Auscultate for lung sounds |
What is checked during C? | Circulation: BP, BPM, Capillary refill, ECG, Skin assessment |
What is checked during D? | Disability: BSL, GCS, Pupils, Temperature |
What is checked during E? | Exposure: Skin checks, any unnoticed causes of injury |
What are some examples of serious medical urgencies in the "breathing" assessment? | Acute Sever asthma, Anaphylaxis , Pulmonary Oedema. Major haemorrhage |
What should cardiovascular collapse treatment by directed at? | control of bleeding, shock position, fluid replacement, and restoration of tissue perfusion. |
What are some common causes of unconsciousness? | – Profound hypoxia – Hypercapnia – Cerebral hypoperfusion – Recent administration of sedative or analgesic drugs – Hypoglycaemia |
