chronic | (KRAH-nik) a general subjective term it has been going on for a while now |
genetic/hereditary | (jih-NEH-tik)/hah-REH-dih-TEH-ree) a general subjective term it runs in the family |
auscultation | (aws-kul-TAY-shun) a general objective term to listen |
percussion | (per-KUH-shun) a general objective term to hit something and listen to the resulting sound or feel for the resulting vibration |
idiopathic | (ih-dee-oh-PA-thik) a general assessment term no known specific cause; it just happens |
sequelae | (seh-KWEL-ah) a general assessment term a problem resulting form a disease or injury |
prophylaxis | (PROH-fuh-LAK-sis) a general plan term preventive treatment |
palliative | (PA-lee-ah-tiv) A general plan term treating the symptoms, but not actually getting rid of the cause |
degeneration | (dee-jen-er-AY-shun) a general assessment term to be getting worse |
