galactorrhea (gah-LAK-toh-REE-ah discharge of milk
goiter (GOY-ter) swollen thyroid gland
euglycemia (YOO-glai-SEE-mee-ah) good blood sugar
glycolysis (glai-KAW-lih-sis) deficiency of sugar
ecchymosis (eh-kih-MOH-sis) large bruise
lymphedema (LIMF-ah-DEE-mah) swelling caused by abnormal accumulation of lymph, usually in the extremities.
embolism (EM-boh-LIZ-um) blockage in a blood vessel caused by an embolus
oligocythemia (AW-lih-goh-sih-THEE-mee-ah) deficiency in the number of red blood cells
thrombocytopenia (THROM-boh-SAI-toh-PEE-nee-ah) deficiency in the number of platelets (clot cells)
splenomegaly (SPLEE-noh-MEH-gah-lee) enlargement of the spleen
pectoralgia (PEK-tor-AL-jah) chest pain
bradycardia (BRAY-dih-KAR-dee-ah) slow heartbeat
aortic stenosis (ay-OR-tik stih-NOH-sis) narrowing of the aorta
electrocardiography (eh-LEK-troh-KAR-dee-AW-grah-fee) procedure for recording the electrical currents of the heart
systolic pressure (sih-STAW-lik PRESH-ir) pressure exerted on blood vessels when heart is contracting
valvulitis (VAL-vyoo-LAI-tis) inflammation of a heart valve
aneurysm (AN-yir-IZ-um) bulge in a blood vessel
angioma (AN-jee-OH-mah) blood vessel tumor
