Enzyme Substrate

TermDefinition
Enzyme These are biological catalysts that speed up reactions in our body.
Catalyst This helps speed up the process of breaking or building molecules.
Substrate The molecules enzymes act on
Active site The part of an enzyme where the changes take place.
Product The substance that is made after the reaction occurs.
Denature When heat destroys the shape of the enzyme and active site.
