Valves Doors in the heart that keep blood flowing in one direction
Capillaries The blood vessels where all gas exchange is done in the body
Cerebrum The largest part of our brain
Veins Blood vessels that carry blood being pulled back towards the heart
Central Nervous System The Brain and spinal cord together
Coronary Circulation The system that carries blood to and from the heart muscle
Carotid The artery that carries blood to the brain
Atrium Blood enters the heart in these two heart chambers
Stimulus Any change inside or outside the body that brings about a response
Estrogen The hormone that makes Wonderwoman different from Superman
Alveoli Tiny air sacs inside the lungs
Bronchi The air tubes that enter the lungs from the Trachea
Negative The feedback loop that tells your glands to stop producing its hormones
Epiglottis The tissue that covers the Trachea when you swallow
Diaphragm The muscle that controls breathing
Dendrites Receives neuron messages and sends them to the cell body
Arteries Blood vessels that carry blood being pushed away from the heart
Pancreas Where insulin comes from
Axon Carries messages away from the neuron cell body
Adrenaline The hormone that supercharges your heart when you are scared
Reflex Involuntary, automatic response to a stimulus
Vena Cava Largest vein in the body
Carbon Dioxide The poisonous gas produced by muscle activity
Synapse The small space between neurons
