Which type of neuroglia are found ONLY in the PNS and what is their function. Schwann cells, myelinate PNS neurons help insulate neurons and increase the rate of neuron signal speed.
List the layers of the cerebral meninges from superficial to deep. Dura mater, arachnoid mater, pia mater.
There are two types of crystalline structure in the inner ear the contribute to balance. What are they? Uticle (L/R movement), Saccule (Up/Down)
What structure of the heart is the default pacemaker? Sinoatrial node
Trace the flow of blood between the 4 chambers of the heart. right atria, right ventricle, left atria, left ventricle
Which type of antibodies are the most prevalent? IgG
Which factors contribute to venous blood return to the heart? Valves within the vein, decrease in thoracic pressure during inspiration and skeletal muscle pump.
Which structure secretes calcitonin? Thyroid gland
Which cells in the pancreas secrete insulin? Beta Cells
