xerostomia dryness of the mouth due to a dysfunction of the salivary glands,
stomatitis inflammation of the mouth
hyperemesis excessive vomiting
hematemesis vomiting of blood
melanemesis black vomit
dyspepsia indigestion
aphagia inability to swallow
dysphagia difficulty in swallowing
aerophagia excessive swallowing of air while drinking or eating
malaise a feeling of uneasiness or discomfort. A sign of illness.
gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) backward flow of stomach contents into the esophagus. When this happens, the esophageal mucosa (mucous membrane) is damaged by the acid from the stomach.
