muscular dystrophy a category of genetically transmitted diseases characterized by progressive atrophy of skeletal muscles

prosthesis an artificial replacement for a missing body part or a device used to improve a body function
traction (Tx) application of a pulling force to a fractured bone or dislocated joint to maintain proper position during healing
analgesic a drug that relieves pain

arthrocentesis puncture for aspiration of a joint
