Win-Lose | -"I'm going to beat you no matter what." -Someone who is always trying to get ahead of others or be better than other people. -They don't care if other people lose as long as they win. -Ex: "I don't need to outrun the bear; I just need to outrun you." |
Lose-Win | "I always get stepped on." -Someone who does not stick up for themselves and gets taken advantage of. -This person has a permanent-victim mentality |
Lose-Lose | -"If I'm going down, you're going with me." -Someone who can't let others succeed unless they do too. -This person gets revenge. -Ex. If someone steals from you, you steal from them |
Win | -"As long as I win, I don't care if you win or lose." & "You do your thing I'll do mine." -Someone who is selfish, and only thinks of themselves and not others. -This might not seem like a problem initially, but it will be in the long run |
Win-Win or No Deal | "Let's find a solution that works for both of us, or let's not play." -When competition is necessary, do it with class and dignity. -Live with a mix of courage and consideration. -Be Happy for Others' Successes -Share Credit and Recognition |
Scarcity Mentality | -The world is like a pie and there is only so much to go around. -"Every piece you take means less for me, so I'd better take the biggest piece before you get it." -One person is the winner and everyone else is the loser |
Abundance Mentality | -There is plenty to go around for everybody. -This person believes the "pie" can grow forever |
Make Deposits in Other People's Emotional Bank Accounts | 1. Find Out What a Deposit is for the Other Person- You won't know until you find out. 2.Do Small Acts of Kindness 3.Keep Promises 4.Be loyal 5.Set Clear Expectations 6. Apologize 7. Give Feedback- Sincere and honest 8. Forgive |
