pediculated polyp | polyp that is projected on a stalk |
sessile polyp | polyp lying flat on the surface |
diverticulum | abnormal side pocket in gastrointestinal tract |
hiatal hernia | protrusion of a part of the stomach upward thru the opening in the diaphragm |
incarcerated hernia | hernia that is swollen and fixed with a sac, causing obstruction |
ileitis | inflammation of the lower portion of the SI |
intussusception | prolapse of one part of the intestine into the lumen of the adjoining part |
volvulus | twisting of the bowel itself |
