Plant physiology

TermDefinition
Vascular bundles They are found in the stems and leaves of plants. They are composed of xylem and phloem.
Cytosol The liquid component of the the cytoplasm
Aerobic respiration The controlled release of of energy from glucose in the presence of oxygen
Osmosis The movement of water from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration through a semi permeable membrane
Transpiration The loss of water by evaporation through the leaves
