bariatrics | concerned with managements of obesity |
body mechanics | relationship between anatomical structures and forces associated with lifting |
diamond carry | one provider at the head, one at foot, one on each side using one hand so they walk facing forward |
emergency move | Pt is moved or dragged from a dangerous scene before assessment and care |
power grip | palms facing up, thumb extended- fully supporting handle |
power lift | back held upright and locked, legs bent and lift occurs when legs are straightened |
rapid extraction technique | moves a pt from a sitting position inside a vehicle to supine on a backboard in under a min |
