anemometer a weather instrument that measures wind speed
wind vane a weather instrument that shows the direction the wind is blowing from
global winds winds that are high up in the atmosphere
land breeze a breeze blowing toward the sea from the land,especially night,because the sea is warmer than the land.
sea breeze a breeze that blows from the land the sea especially during the day because land is warmer than the sea
prevailing westerlies prevailing winds from the west toward the east in the middle latitudes between 30 and 60 degrees latitude
jet stream a stead world wide wind that blows from west to east high above earth
air pressure the weight of the air pushing on everything around it.
barometer a weather instrument that measures air pressure
high pressure fair, clear skies,and dry weather
low pressure cloudy skies or rainy storms
cold front brief heavy thunderstorms possibly strong winds ,blizzards or tornadoes
warm front wamer ,more humid weather (or wetter) air once passes brings constant steady showers
