| patch (vitiligo) | larger flat discolored area |
| papule (pimple) | small solid mass |
| plaque | solid mass on the surface of the skin |
| nodule | solid mass that extends deeper into the skin |
| tumor | larger solid mass |
| vesicle (elevated fluid filled) | smaller blister |
| bulla (elevated fluid filled) ballon like dilated structure | larger blister |
| pustule | a pus filled blister |
| abscess | localized collection of pus in the body |
