Stage 1: A green colored pigment ( found in chloroplast) that absorbs light from the sun and uses it to power stage 2.The sun then splits the water into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen exits through the stomata.
Stage 2: Carbon dioxide enters the plant through the stomata. Then using the energy captured by the sun in stage 1, the carbon dioxide and hydrogen go through chemical reactions to produce glucose.
