Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) Accident involving the blood vessels of the brain
Stroke Loss of brain function causes by interruption of blood flow/supply to the brain
Hemorrhagic Stroke Stroke where the blood loss is caused by the rupture of a blood vessel
Ischemic Stroke Stroke where blood loss is cause by blockage
Transient Ischemic Attack (ISA) "mini stroke" ; caused by blockage of a blood vessel, which resolves within 24 hours
Cerebrovascular Disease
Cerebrovascular Disease Disease of the blood vessels of the brain
Cerebral Aneurysm Widening or abnormal dilation of a blood vessel in the brain
Cerebral Arteriosclerosis Hardening of an artery in the brain
Cerebral Embolism Blockage of a blood vessel in the brain caused by a foreign object such as fat or bacteria
Cerebral Thrombosis Blockage of a blood vessel in the brain caused by a blood clot

Craniomalacia Abnormal softening of the skull
Craniosclerosis Abnormal hardening of the skull
Craniostenosis Abnormal narrowing of the skull
Craniosynostosis Premature fusing of the skull bones
Hydrocephaly Abnormal accumulation of spinal fluid in the brain

Astrocytoma Tumor arising from astrocyte glial cells
Ganglioma Ganglion tumor
Glioblastoma Brain tumor arising from glioblast cells

Poliomyelitis Inflammation of they gray matter of the spinal cord
Polyneuropathy Disease affecting multiple nerves
Function
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Degenerative disease of the central nervous system causing loss of muscle control
Anorexia Eating disorder characterized by the patients restricting food or refusing to eat
Autism Difficulty in social communication and interactions, as well as repetitive and or restrictive patterns of behavior or interests
Bulimia Eating disorder, overeating and usually followed by forced purging or getting rid of food
Cerebral Palsy Paralysis caused by damage to the area of the brain responsible for movement
Dysphoria Negative emotional state
Epilepsy Disease marked by seizures
Euphoria Positive emotional state
Hypomania Mental state just below mania
Manic Depression (Bipolor Disorder) Psychiatric disorder characterized by alternating bouts of excitement and depression
Myasthenia Muscle weakness,
Narcolepsy Sudden uncontrollable sleepiness
Psychopathy Mental illness
Schizophrenia Delusions, hallucinations, and disordered speech
