Thyroid Gland | Located in the neck, it produces hormones that regulate metabolism, energy levels, and overall growth and development. |
Parathyroid Glands | Four small glands located on the back of the thyroid gland. They regulate calcium levels in the blood and bone metabolism. |
Adrenal Glands | Located on the top of each kidney, they produce hormones that help regulate metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, and stress response. |
Pineal Gland | Located in the brain, it produces melatonin, which affects sleep patterns |
Pancreas | Located behind the stomach, it produces insulin and glucagon, which regulate blood sugar levels |
Gonads | Ovaries and testes; produce sex hormones that regulate reproduction and secondary sexual characteristics. |
