Autumnal Equinox sun crosses the equator from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere, and appears directly above the Earth's equator
Vernal Equinox astronomical start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere
Solar Day ****time between two successive transits by the sun****
Circumpolar continuously visible above the horizon (ex: little dipper)
Zenith highest point traveled by a star
Right Ascension the astronomical equivalent of longitude
Declination latitude of the celestial sphere
South Celestial Pole south part of the celestial equator
North Celestial Pole norther part of the celestial equator
Celestial Equator a projection of Earth's equator into space that divides the celestial sphere into the northern and southern hemispheres
