temperature a measure of how fast the particles in an object are moving

texture the surface structure you can feel by touching
solid a substance that has a definite shape and volume
liquid a substance that has a definite volume but no shape
gas a substance without a definite volume or shape
plasma a state of matter that has electric charges at very high temperatures
freezing point temperature at which a liquid becomes a solid
melting point temperature at which a solid becomes a liquid
evaporation the changing of a liquid to a gas
condensation the process in which a gas turns into a liquid
mixture different materials placed together, but each material keeps its own properties
solution a mixture in which substances are spread out evenly and will not settle
solubility a material’s ability to dissolve in water
physical change a change in some properties of matter without forming a different kind of matter
chemical change a change of one or more types of matter into other types of matter with different properties
