Thyroid | The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of your neck under your skin. It is a part of your endocrine system and produces hormones that regulate blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and weight |
Adrenal glands | Adrenal glands are endocrine glands located on top of your kidneys. They produce many important hormones, including cortisol, aldosterone and adrenaline. |
Pancreas | The pancreas is a large gland in the back of your abdomen (belly). It makes: Enzymes to help with digestion (exocrine system). Hormones to control the amount of sugar in your bloodstream (endocrine system). |
Gonads | Gonads are the reproductive organs responsible for producing and releasing eggs in females and sperm in males |
Tonsils | Your tonsils are two round, fleshy masses in the back of your throat. They help filter out germs that enter through your nose or mouth to protect the rest of your body from infection. |
Spleen | The spleen is a small organ inside your left rib cage, just above the stomach. The spleen stores and filters blood and makes white blood cells that protect you from infection. |
