Endocrine, Lymphatic, Cardiovasular

TermDefinition
Hormones Chemical messengers produced by glands that regulate various body functions.
Gland An organ that secretes hormones into the bloodstream.
Thyroid A gland in the neck that produces hormones regulating metabolism.
Insulin A hormone produced by the pancreas that regulates blood sugar levels.
Adrenal Referring to the adrenal gland, which produce hormones involved in stress response.
Lymph A clear fluid that circulates through the lymphatic system, containing white blood cells.
Lymphocyte A type of white blood cells that plays a key role in the immune response.
Spleen An organ that filters blood and helps fight infections
Lymph node Small structures that filter lymph and trap pathogens.
Thymus A gland where T-cells mature, important for the immune system.
Heart The muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body.
Artery Blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart
Vein Blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
Aorta The largest artery in the body distributing oxygenated blood to the tissue.
Myocardium The muscular tissue of the heart responsible for contraction.
