Digestive | the system that breaks down food into nutrients for the body, consisting of organs such as the stomach and intestines. |
Nervous | the system that transmits signals between different parts of the body, including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. |
Muscle | A tissue in the body that has the ability to contract and produce movement. |
Skeletal | the system that provides structure and support to the body, consisting of bones and cartilage. |
Homeostasis | The process by which the body maintains a stable internal environment despite changes in external conditions. |
Hormone | A chemical substance produced in the body that regulates various functions and processes, including growth and metabolism. |
Immune | the system that protects the body from diseases and infections through various cells and processes. |
Endocrine | the system that produces hormones to regulate bodily functions, including growth, metabolism, and mood. |
Excretory | the system responsible for removing waste products from the body, including the kidneys and bladder. |
Cardiovascular | the system that includes the heart and blood vessels, responsible for circulating blood and nutrients throughout the body. |
