Mixture | Two or more substances that are combined but do not form a new substance |
Particles | The tiny parts that make up matter |
Physical State | A form of matter, such as solid, liquid, or gas |
Volume | The amount of space that |
Solubility | The amount of one substance that will dissolve in another substance |
Solution | A mixture in which one substance is dissolved in another substance |
Substance | Matter that has the same properties throughout it |
Gravitational Force | A noncontact force of attraction between two objects |
Kinetic Energy | The energy an object has due to its motion |
Potential Energy | The stored energy an object has |
Unequal Forces | Forces that have different strengths |
Equal Forces | Forces that have the same strength |
Frictional Force | A contact force that pushes against objects in motion |
Thermal Energy | A form of energy measured by temperature |
Switch | A device that opens and closes an electrical circuit |
Sound Energy | A form of energy we can hear |
Refract | To bend a pathway of light |
Reflect | Light rays bounce off of a surface |
Light Energy | A form of energy we can see |
Electrical Energy | A form of energy that can move through wires |
Electrical Circuit | A path through which electrical energy can flow |
Chemical Energy | A form of energy stored in chemical bonds |
Battery | An object that stores energy that can be converted into electrical energy |
