TermDefinition
Joints The part of the body where two or more bones meet, allowing the body to move
Muscles Specialized tissue that contract to produce movement
Ostalgia Medical term that refers to bone pain
Cartilage A tough flexible tissue that lines joints and gives structure to different parts of the body
Spine Complex structure of bones, muscles, tendons, and nerves that run from the base of the skull to the tailbone
Cerebrum The largest part of the brain located in the upper portion of the brain
Brain The central organ of the nervous system , located within the skull
Spinal cord a cylinder-shaped tube of tissue that runs through the center of your spine, from your brainstem to your lower back
Encephalitis inflammation of the active tissues of the brain caused by an infection or autoimmune response
Lobectomy A surgery to remove one of the lobes of the lungs
Retina A layer of cells at the back of your eyeball that converts lights into nerve signals
Iritis Inflammation of the iris.
Ear canal A tube-like structure that connects the outer ear to the middle ear
Gustation The sense of taste, which is associated with the tongue
Cornea Clear surface in the middle of the eye
Acoustic neuroma Benign tumor that develops on the main nerve leading from the inner ear to the brain
Blepharotomy A surgical procedure that involves making an incision on one or more layers of the eye
