Case Study In-depth of one group/individual, data gathered through multiple methods
Naturalistic Observation Data gathered by watching participants in their natural environment, no interaction
Meta-analysis Combining the results of multiple studies to create one thesis
Correlation Strength and direction of a relationship, 2 variables observed without altering one, positive or negative
Institutional Review Board (IRB) Evaluates and approves research, ensures guidelines are followed
Informed Consent/Assent Permission given by participant before, participant fully understands the situation
Debrief Explanation ater, must explain the main deception/lie
Protection from Harm Minimal harm, with IRB approval
Anonymous The procter doesn't know who the participants are, no personal info collected
Confidential Researches know about the participants, but their personal info is removed from the offcial report
Experimental Independent variable, random group assignments, one control group
