Anatomy study of structure and how they relate to each other
Physiology the study of functions of body parts

Tissue group of similar cells preforming a specific function
Organ group of similar tissues the perform a specific function, but must have at least 2 types of tissue
Organ system group of related organs that perform a specific function
Organism complete living thing
Metabolism sum total of all chemical reactions that occur within an organism
Catabolism breaking down of complex molecules into simpler ones
Anabolism building of complex molecules from simpler ones
Digestion the action, process, or power of digestion
Absorption the process of absorbing or of being absorbed
Assimilation the incorporation or conversion of nutrients into protoplasm
Differentiation the specialization of parts or organs in the course of evolution
Anatomical Position the normal position of the human body when active
Superior [cephalic] situated toward the head and further away from the feet than another and especially another similar part of an upright body
Inferior [caudal] situated below and closer to the feet than another and especially another similar part of an upright body
Anterior [ventral]
Inferior [caudal] situated below and closer to the feet than another and especially another similar part of an upright body
