action inhibits production of prostaglandins in inflamed tissue which decreases the responsiveness of pain receptors
indications moderately severe acute pain
adverse effects headache, drowsiness, dixxiness, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, n/v
contraindications pts with Hx of peptic ulcer disease or GI bleed, renal insufficiency, hypovolemia, pregnancy,
dosage adults: <65- 30mg IV or 60 mg IM >65- 15mg IV or 30 mg IM peds: 0.05 mg/kg IV max dose-15mg 1mg/kg IM
