| Win-Lose | high on courage, low on consideration; can only win if others lose |
| Lose-Win | low on courage, high on consideration; typically insecure and cant stand up for themselves |
| Lose-Lose | if you cant win nobody can |
| Win-Win | balance of courage and consideration; everyone wins or no one wins |
| Ideal ratio of courage and consideration | balanced |
| Find others deposit | figure out what makes the person happier vs what could cause them to withdrawal |
| Small acts of kindness | treat others with kindness, be polite and inviting |
| Keep promises | if you make a promise keep it, no one wants to be friends with some one who cannot keep their word |
| Keep confidences | don't share others secrets, if a person gives you their confidence don't break it |
| Be loyal to the absent | don't gossip or badmouth behind another's back |
| Set clear expectations | Don't be vague or fuzzy, draw lines a follow through with them |
| Apologize | if you are wrong admit it, own it; excuses push people away |
| Forgive | Don't hold on to grudges, forgiving someone is the best way for no one to keep getting hurt |
