| Contraindications (2) | -Know severe allergy -third trimester of pregnancy |
| Cautions (3) | -know bleeding disorder -clinically significant bleeding known worsening of bronchospasm with NSAIDS |

| common adverse effects | -increased bleeding -indigestion, gastrointestinal ulceration/ bleeding associated with long term use |
| Onset | 30-60 minutes |
| Duration | 3-5 days for the antiplatelet activity. platelets exposed to aspirin are impaired for the like of the platelet which is 7-10 days. Approx 10% replaced each day |
| Pharacokinetics | Absorption occurs in the stomach and small intestine. Metabolised in the liver no significant effects from liver impairment on acute administration |
| common interactions | displaces warfarin from the binding sites and increases the activity of warfarin. |
